Pastor Steve Thompson

Pastor Steve Thompson began his ministry at Vista Covenant Church on September 19, 2005 after serving at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Kennedy, Minnesota for 8 years.

He interned two years at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis Minnesota and worked as youth director at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Buffalo, Minnesota.
Pastor Steve was a short term missionary to Japan and Austria for several years.

Steve has a Bachelors Degree in Religion from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary. He attended North Park Theological Seminary for orientation to the Evangelical Covenant Church of America.

Pastor Steve has been married to his wife Carol for 16 years and has three children,
Ellen, Autumn and a son Ethan.

Our new pastor looks forward to leading Vistas’ worship of God in spirit and truth.
He firmly believes that the worship of our Lord God should be with all our
heart and soul and strength ( Deuteronomy 6). Steve is excited about using his God
given gifts of encouraging and shepherding for those who attend
Vista Evangelical Covenant Church.
